Setting Up Your First Website
After creating your workspace, the next step is adding a website. Websites are the core unit in Rankioz: all content generation, SEO analysis, and publishing is scoped to a specific website.
Adding a Website
- Navigate to Settings or use the onboarding wizard
- Enter your website's domain URL (e.g.,
https://example.com) - Click Add Website
The Setup Pipeline
Once a website is added, Rankioz initiates an automated pipeline:
Step 1: Website Crawl
The system crawls your website, fetching pages and storing their content. Each page is classified as either an Article or Other page type. The number of pages crawled depends on your plan.
Step 2: Brand Voice Training
A selection of your best content is analyzed by AI to create a structured Brand Profile containing:
- Writing tone and voice characteristics
- Target audience indicators
- Vocabulary patterns and formality level
- Structural style preferences
Step 3: Knowledge Base Building
Your crawled content is broken into chunks and indexed with vector embeddings. This powers the Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system that helps create contextually relevant articles.
Step 4: Keyword Universe
The system extracts keywords from your content, classifies them by search intent, groups them by topic, and scores them for priority.
Monitoring Progress
You can track each step from the Dashboard:

The Dashboard displays pages scanned, pages trained, and chunks indexed. If your model is older than 30 days, you'll see a prompt to retrain.
Multiple Websites
Each workspace can contain multiple websites. Switch between them using the website selector in the sidebar or Dashboard.
